Loucky, age 12, dreams of someday becoming an engineer. Thanks to the nourishment he receives from Stop Hunger Now meals, he is able to excel in his studies and focus on his dreams.

Loucky and his siblings are among many students–including refugee children–at King Solomon’s Academy in Bulenga, Uganda, who have benefited from Stop Hunger Now meals. Stefan Radelich of LeSEA Global reports that the meals help not only the health and well-being of the children, but strengthens the students’ performance in school. In fact, King Solomon’s Academy now boasts some of the highest test scores in the country, and the students are graduating and enrolling in higher education.

Prior to the opening of King Solomon’s, child mortality rates in the area refugee camps were high. Thanks to the nutritious Stop Hunger Now meals provided at the school by LeSEA Global: Feed the Hungry, pastor and school director Solomon Mswegie reports that the death rates in the community have declined.

“This is just another example of the power and impact of Stop Hunger Now meals and how they’re changing lives not only in our camp, but in the refugee camps as well,” Mswegie said. “Providing students with the meals gives them daily hope and will also change their lives throughout their futures.”
