Are you a teacher at a school or an activities director with a youth program? If so, we have a tip to share with you. Lead2Feed is a free, team-based, service learning program that helps students learn and develop key leadership skills while taking action to solve real-life hunger issues. The program was adapted from the book, “Taking People With You,” by Yum! Brands CEO David Novak. Students select their project, partner with a non-profit 501c3 and compete for a chance to win over $275,000 in charity grants and $150,000 in technology grants for schools and clubs.

Earlier this year, the Malon D. Mimms Boys and Girls Club in Canton, GA received a $10,000 grant for their meal packaging event projects with Stop Hunger Now! The current competition entry period is open through April 8, 2016. You’ll find teacher lesson plans and more details about the challenge program at www.lead2feed.org.
