Exciting News from President & CEO Rod Brooks

On behalf of the Board of Directors of Stop Hunger Now, I have exciting news to share. I’m pleased to announce that today, January 26, 2017, we are adopting our new name. Today, Stop Hunger Now becomes Rise Against Hunger. I’m sharing this with you because your support and involvement in our efforts to end hunger have been instrumental.

I assure you that our mission to end hunger in our lifetime remains the same, and we are committed to achieving even greater impact toward this goal.

As we continue to grow, we are undertaking new pathways to end hunger, which in addition to providing nutritious meals to those in need and responding to crises, includes implementing sustainable ways for communities to become empowered and self-sufficient.

Our new name and logo speak to our vision for the future, support our mission to create a global hunger movement, and reflect our continued growth and worldwide reach with a global brand identity. While the need for this change arose because of our inability to register the trademark for Stop Hunger Now, we embraced this challenge as an opportunity to express our approach in a new, dynamic way.

Together, we can Rise to end world hunger in our lifetime, and we are committed to growing this movement. The thousands of volunteers, partners and supporters across the globe are a critical part of our success. We can’t do it without your continued support.

I invite you to join us on this journey and embrace our new identity as we move forward in the world as Rise Against Hunger. Thank you for your continued support of our efforts to end hunger in our lifetime!

Sincerely,

Rod Brooks
President & CEO
