In an exciting new collaboration, Stop Hunger Now teamed up with Major League Baseball (MLB) at its headquarters in New York City to package meals for distribution around the globe.

At the meal packaging event in NYC on June 15, 100 MLB full-time staff members and summer interns pitched in to package a total of 12,096 meals.

“This is our first event with Major League Baseball,” said Toni Marraccini, Stop Hunger Now Corporate Account Executive. “MLB Community supports many worthy causes, and we are grateful that this staff has joined in our movement to end world hunger. The meals packaged at this event will feed over 130 people for an entire year–what an amazing accomplishment in such a short period of time.”

“MLB is delighted to work with Stop Hunger Now,” said Tom Brasuell, Vice President of Community Affairs at Major League Baseball. “MLB employees and interns are committed to making a positive difference in the world. We thank Stop Hunger Now for the opportunity to assist families and individuals in need.”
